Heather Dubrow has announced that her youngest child is transgender.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star, 54, shared a picture on Instagram Saturday of a beach with the name “Ace” written in sand, along with a sweet message to her 12-year-old son.
“We love you, our youngest son, Ace ❤️,” Dubrow captioned the post in honor of International Sons Day.
“Our job as parents is to give our kids a safe and supportive environment so they can grow up as healthy, happy, confident, independent humans,” the mother of four continued.
“Since Ace is a 12 year old child, with a long life ahead of him – we will let him tell his own story someday if he chooses to do so.”
She concluded, “All we can say is Ace, we love you so much and we are proud to be your parents. Your brother and sisters love and support you too ❤️.”
Dubrow — who also shares twins Nick and Max, 19, and daughter Kat, 16, with her husband, Terry Dubrow — was sent lots of supportive comments from people online.
Andy Cohen, who executive produces the “Real Housewives” franchises, commented,👏👏👏👏👏👏.”
Former “RHOC” star Alexis Bellino wrote, “We love you Ace!!!!!!! 🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️.”
“Best. Mom. Ever. There is no greater gift you can give to your child then loving them for exactly who they are,” commented a supporter.

“Ace is so incredibly lucky to have you as his parents ❤️,” said a third advocate.
In 2020, Heather celebrated her eldest daughter, Max, coming out as bisexual.
Then, two years later, the “That’s Life” alum announced that her other daughter, Kat, is a lesbian.
“Kat decided to drop in our family group text, ‘By the way, I’m a lesbian,’” Heather told People in February 2022. “I didn’t see it, and I was mad because the dogs pooped in the house, so I wrote back, ‘Who let the dogs poop in the house?’ It was a total mom fail, and they’ve never let me forget that.”
Kat revealed at the time that her parents were supportive of her since coming out.
“She’s asked me trillions of questions that really show she cares,” the teen told the magazine of her Heather, adding, “She’s asked me about my pronouns. It’s really easy to talk to her. It’s not like I have to build up courage if I have something to tell her.”
