Jeremy Renner was airlifted out of a Nevada town Sunday morning after his snowplow ran over his leg in a freak accident.
New footage, obtained by TMZ Monday, shows a helicopter taking off from a cleared road surrounded by tons of snow and heading to a nearby hospital with the Marvel star inside and clinging to life.
One of Renner’s neighbors told the outlet that the Snow Cat plow accidentally ran over one of Renner’s legs, causing him to lose a tremendous amount of blood.
Another neighbor who is a doctor managed to place a tourniquet on the “Avengers” star’s leg until paramedics arrived to fly him to the hospital.
Renner’s rep said in a statement late Sunday that the Oscar-nominated actor, 51, was in “critical but stable condition” following the accident.
“His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care,” the rep added.
Renner, who lives about 25 miles outside Reno near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, previously has posted videos and photos of himself using his plow to help his family get out of winter storms once they’re over.
“I have so much respect for Mother Earth, and Mother Nature … I expect to lose the fight but I’ll always give it my best shot #tahoelife life #snowthrower,” he captioned one video of himself clearing a path with his plow in mid-December.
In another video posted just over a month ago, the “Hurt Locker” star can be seen driving his Jeep Wrangler in circles in deep snow.
“Monday morning Pre winter preparation couldn’t be more fun !! #reno #tahoe,” he wrote.
