New Mets star Justin Verlander and supermodel Kate Upton are staying at a $450,000 per week, 12,000-square-foot villa in St. Barts that features a private waterfall as well as its own chef and butler, sources tell Page Six.
Right after Verlander inked a two-year, $86.6 million deal with the Mets after over five seasons with the Houston Astros, the MLB ace and his former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model wife jetted to the luxe island paradise that’s a favorite of VIPs and celebs.
A source tells us they’ve been staying at the Villa Embrace, which is carved into a mountainside in island capital Gustavia, overlooking the harbor.
According to a Robb Report profile on the place published earlier this year, the “airy, commodious abode” has five suites that are all “outfitted with private decks, complete with an outdoor shower or Japanese soaking tub. One even has a hammam.”
One island regular simply said of the rental property, which includes two infinity pools, “It’s bananas.”
According to a listing, the four-story spread also includes “indoor and outdoor dining rooms for private dinners, as well as two fully-equipped kitchens,” plus a “comfortable cinema room” and “game room”
The place also reportedly features artwork by Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
A Forbes piece on the property said, “The outdoor showers open onto lush foliage and offer infinite sea views while floor-to-ceiling glass windows disappear into the walls.”
Upton, 30, and Verlander, 39, celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in November, and the pitcher won his second World Series title with the Astros as well.
The couple has also been seen out and about on the island: Upton frolicked on the beach in a royal blue bikini and cozied up to Verlander in the water.
Reps for the pair did not immediately get back to us.
