Kris Jenner is devastated over the “sudden” death of Tristan Thompson’s mom, Andrea Thompson.
“I am so heartbroken by the sudden passing of Tristan’s mom, Andrea,” the momager, 67, wrote in a touching tribute on Instagram Friday, before sending her condolences to the NBA star and his siblings Amari, Dishawn and Daniel Thompson.
“You were the most amazing, dedicated, devoted, and selfless mom and such a loving, kind, and fabulous grandmother. What a blessing you were to your family!!!” Jenner continued.
“I will miss you Andrea. I will miss your bright spirit and amazing light. Thank you for always praying for us and lifting us up and encouraging us along the way. Rest in peace beautiful angel 🙏❤️ @realtristan13.”
Jenner’s emotional message comes after a source told Page Six that Andrea went into cardiac arrest on Thursday and could not be resuscitated. The insider told us that her death was “unexpected.”
Per TMZ, who was first to report the news, Andrea was at her home when she suffered a heart attack. She was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, but medics were sadly unable to revive her.
Tristan, 31, and ex Khloé Kardashian, 38, flew privately from Los Angeles to Toronto so that the NBA champion could be with his family.
A source previously told Page Six that the Good American founder will continue to be by Tristan’s side through this difficult matter as they co-parent their 4-year-old daughter, True, and their son, whom they welcomed via surrogate last summer.
Over the years, Tristan has shown a lot of love and gratitude toward his mother on social media.
Back in 2020, the former Chicago Bulls star sent a special shoutout to Andrea in honor of Mother’s Day.
“Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! One day isn’t enough to praise and lift you high,” he wrote at the time. “Everyday is your day. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and my brothers. I love you and I’m soo lucky to have been chosen as your son❤️. Not all superheroes wear capes.”
Tristan has not yet publicly commented on his mother’s passing.
