Among guests spotted at the final night of downtown NYC hotspot the Jane Ballroom was Lauren Remington Platt, spies told Page Six.
The venue in the Jane Hotel in the West Village had sent out an invite for “One Last Night” of the Jane on Saturday night. Stars including Jennifer Aniston, Kirsten Dunst, Mary-Kate Olsen and Jonah Hill were all known to party at the space, which is reportedly becoming a private club.
The Remington Arms family descendant and glamorous socialite worked as FTX’s head of global luxury partnerships for seven months from February to August.
The crypto company recently dramatically imploded, and its boss Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested.
Platt has not been accused of any wrongdoing, and helped introduce Bankman-Fried, who has been accused of defrauding investors out of $1.8 billion, to the fashion world.
But another source says that besides the Jane Ballroom party, the stunning socialite has been keeping a low profile at her family’s home, and that she went to the Jane Ballroom bash to support a friend.
She’d previously attended the Met Gala, donning a necklace inspired by the FTX logo, and telling reporters of the crypto king, “Sam has a very strong fashion sense. Most importantly, he’s authentic to himself.”
A source tells us that FTX donated to the Met.
Remington Platt auctioned off the necklace, which was the subject of a glowing article in Vogue, during amfAR’s annual Cannes gala. She was co-chair of the glamorous event, which was sponsored by FTX and featured a performance by Christina Aguilera.
Remington Platt also helped introduce an FTX print ad featuring Gisele Bündchen. (Bundchen, along with Tom Brady, Larry David, Shaquille O’Neal and more are being sued for their part in endorsing the brand.)
Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas, and has been charged with eight counts –including wire fraud and conspiring to defraud the United States and violate campaign finance laws.
