Lucy Hale is breaking down the benefits of dating older men.
The 33-year-old actress, who made headlines for her fling with Skeet Ulrich in 2021, told Rachel Bilson in a recent podcast interview that she has gone out with men “all the way up to [age] 52.”
Hale added, “I feel like I’ll probably end up with someone around my age or older, just because of [my] non-negotiables.
“I feel like a lot of people in that older age bracket will meet those,” she continued in the Jan. 2 “Broad Ideas” episode.
The “Pretty Little Liars” alum, who has her age range on the exclusive dating app Raya set up to 50, said she doesn’t expect “games” or “bulls–t” from older men.
Hale told listeners that, as “dramatic” as it sounds, she will “die alone” before she “settles” for someone.
The “Life Sentence” alum is not budging on her “non-negotiables” — a “funny” man who “asks questions” and is “spiritually evolved” — just like she didn’t give into partners asking her to grow out her hair in 2020.
“I couldn’t tell you the amount of times when guys were like, ‘You should grow your hair out again. I like long hair,’” she told Cosmopolitan at the time. “I’m like, ‘I’m not cutting my f–king hair for you.’ I cut my hair for me.
“I feel great with it this way,” she said in her cover story, adding that she “doesn’t dress for men at all.”
In addition to her time with 52-year-old Ulrich, Hale has been romantically linked to actor Graham Rogers, country singer Joel Crouse and former “Bachelor” Colton Underwood.
She clarified to Bilson that she hasn’t been in a committed relationship for “years and years.”
Hale explained, “Some people might call [me] way too picky, but I have these standards, and I refuse to believe that’s not out there. … I just have to be patient.”
