Peta Murgatroyd, who is expecting a rainbow baby with husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy, is in love with her pregnant body.
“It’s funny how this pregnancy is so different with nerves and anxiety, yet I’m more confident than ever with my body 💕,” Murgatroyd captioned a video of herself showing off her growing baby bump on her Instagram Story Thursday night.
In the clip, the “Dancing With the Stars” pro is seen grooving to Stevie Wonder’s song, “Isn’t She Lovely,” while dressed in cozy clothes as she lifts her shirt to show off her changing body.
Murgatroyd, 36, also shared a “life update” on how she feels during her second pregnancy.
“I feel like I’m huge. Just, say it how it is,” she said, adding, “Everything is growing, which is the best.”
The dancer shared that she went for a checkup and that her baby is “amazing” and “doing good.”
“I always get this little anxious feeling every time I go in, just from my past and what’s happened and stuff like that,” she said, referring to her multiple miscarriages. “I always hold my breath and just wait to hear the [baby’s heartbeat]”
She added, “Life is moving so fast though. With Shai, With Maks, with everything. It’s busy.”
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy, who tied the knot in 2017, are already parents to a 6-year-old son named Shai.
Since welcoming their baby boy, the duo has been open about wanting to expand their family with more children.
“I want a girl more than anything,” Chmerkovskiy, now 43, told Entertainment Tonight in February 2020. “[But] if it’s going to be another boy, it’s going to be incredible.”
But last June, Murgatroyd revealed that she suffered three miscarriages in the span of two years and called the experience “shocking.”
She proceeded to document her fertility journey and went through one round of IVF and underwent an egg retrieval procedure.
Then in January, the pair announced the exciting news that Murgatroyd was pregnant again.
“We have a healthy bun in the oven,” Murgatroyd shared via Instagram at the time.
“It was a shock to all of us and we found out right before I was going in for my second round of IVF,” she said, adding, “This news has brought extraordinary bliss to our family and we have so much to be grateful for .”
The couple’s second child is due in June.
