Sarah Ferguson quoted her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth ll, during Lisa Marie Presley’s memorial service at Graceland on Sunday.

“I think it’s time to stoke our flames within … to celebrate the extraordinary Lisa Marie,” the Duchess of York, 63, began, noting that she and Presley called each other “sissy.”

“My late mother-in-law used to say that nothing [that] can be said can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments, because grief is the price we pay for love. And how right she was.”

Ferguson was quoting a message Queen Elizabeth gave to New York following the tragic Sept. 11 attacks in 2001. The late British monarch died in September 2022 at the age of 96.

Elsewhere in the speech, Ferguson also referenced Lisa Marie’s late son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide at age 27 in July 2020.

“We look to Lisa Marie [who] lost a son,” the mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie continued. “Mothers losing children, there are no words for it.”

Ferguson then addressed Lisa Marie’s three daughters: Riley Keough, 33, and twins Finley and Harper, 14.

“Today we talk about action. For Riley, for Harper and Finley, we march forward in support of you,” she said. “All of us are with you and we will help you as best we can, if you put out your hand.”

Alanis Morissette and Axl Rose were also on hand to pay tribute to Elvis Presley’s daughter – who died on Jan. 12 at the age of 54 – at the late icon’s home.

Page Six was first to report the news that Ferguson had flown in from the UK ahead of her longtime friend’s memorial service.

“I think she’s with [her son] Ben now,” the royal exclusively told us, noting that she believes Lisa Marie died of a broken heart following Ben’s death.

“I think we need to make sure Finley, Riley and Harper are fully supported going forward. She was so proud of them, so proud,” she added.

“She used to write to me saying, ‘Yeah, I’m really gushing at how wonderful my children are right now.’”
